Be Heard. Be Counted. Help Us Advance Equity!
At Queen’s, equity isn’t a checkbox, but it's a commitment. The ICount Equity Census helps us understand the composition of our workforce, so we can build a fair, inclusive, and representative university community.
This census is about you and only you can complete it. Whether you're new to Queen’s or have been here for years, you can complete (or update) your census at any time.
Every response counts! Even if you don’t identify with a designated group, your participation helps ensure the data is accurate, complete, and meaningful for advancing real equity and inclusion.
Why Your Participation Matters
Your participation helps Queen’s:
- Fulfill its legal commitments under the Employment Equity Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, and the Federal Contractors Program
- Build an accurate picture of who we are as a workforce and how representative we are of the Canadian labour market
- Identify where policies, practices, or systems need to change to improve equity and fairness in employment
- Pinpoint and remove barriers that may limit or exclude members of equity-deserving groups
- Guide internal equity planning and support required government reporting
Completing the Census: Voluntary, Confidential and Impactful
Completing the Census will only take a moment of your time and is completely confidential. To complete the Census, ensure you're using your @queensu.ca NetID and password.
