This June, Queen’s University brought together a group of global scholars from the BCDI 2030 and Principal's Global Fellows and Scholars Programs to meet with Dr. Sandra den Otter, Vice-Provost, Global Engagement, and Dr. Nick Mosey, Special Advisor, Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor.

With backgrounds spanning countries and disciplines, the gathering served as an opportunity for the scholars to share their experiences, academic interests, and aspirations for their time at Queen’s. Many members of the group are currently focused on conducting evidence based, peer-reviewed research on healthcare related problems and technologies with faculty leads, Dr. Elijah Bisung, Dr. Qingguo Li, and Dr. Mark Green

Dr. den Otter and Dr. Mosey welcomed the scholars, emphasizing Queen’s commitment to fostering a globally-engaged campus community. The conversation highlighted the university’s strategic vision for global engagement and the role of programs like BCDI 2030 in advancing innovation and global impact.

As the summer unfolds, we look forward to how these scholars engage in research with their campus partners, connect with community partnerships, and enrich the Queen’s campus with their perspectives.
