This one-hour interactive TELUS Health seminar will help participants better understand how seasonal changes affect the body and mind, and introduce simple, practical strategies to support mental health during the winter season. Participants will learn actionable tips to improve sleep, nutrition, energy levels, and outlook, while building resilience during a time of year that can feel particularly demanding.
The session includes expert-led content, interactive discussion, live polling, and Q&A, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for staff and faculty.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand what Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is and what causes it
- Recognize how seasonal changes affect physiology and mental health
- Apply practical strategies to manage SAD symptoms and boost resilience during winter
