As EDI initiatives are being scaled back, it is increasingly important to understand what the law says about programs designed to expand access to hiring, ad妖姬直播s, and services. These initiatives aim to support students and employees who have historically鈥攁nd continue to鈥攆ace systemic disadvantage on our campus.
Canadian law recognizes the need to protect these 鈥渟pecial programs鈥� and affirm that organizations may establish programs to address inequality.
Join the Human Rights & Equity Office for a session led by human rights lawyer Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell to learn more about the legal foundations of special programs. The discussion will also explore contentious questions like 鈥淚s this reverse discrimination?鈥� and 鈥淲hat about excellence?鈥�
