    Description:

    Facilitated by Bonnie-Jane Maracle, Indigenous Learning Strategist, Academic Success Centre/First Nations House, University of Toronto.

    This workshop provides an opportunity for educators to gain insight into seeing ā€œeducationā€ through an Indigenous lens by understanding what ā€˜Indigenous knowledge’ is and what entails ā€˜Indigenous ways of knowing’. Basic information and Indigenous elements will be provided to enable the drafting of ā€˜Indigenized’ curriculum, with an overview of colonial education barriers.
