    Description:

In this session, participants will learn about the Ohen:ton Karihwatehkwen (The Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address); a traditional message of gratitude that acknowledges the interconnected relationships between people, the land, water, plants, animals, and the natural elements that sustain life. Through guided discussion and reflection, participants will explore how gratitude for the natural world can shape our perspectives on wellbeing, sustainability, and our place within the broader ecosystem.

Participants will create a personal wall hanging expressing gratitude to an element or elements of nature.

    Participants will experience:

    • An introduction to the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address (Ohen:ton Karihwatehkwen) and its teachings
    • Guided reflection on our relationship with the natural world
    • A creative activity to design a personal gratitude wall hanging
    • A supportive environment for reflection, creativity, and shared learning

    All materials will be provided.
