Attention Muslim Faculty and Staff at Queen’s University!
QUMIN invites you to a Virtual Commemoration of the
National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and
Action Against Islamophobia
January 29th is the National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and Action Against Islamophobia. Join the Green Square Campaign; wear a green square to remember those killed and injured, their loved ones who were left behind, and to confirm intentions to stand against Islamophobia in all its forms. Green Squares are available at the Office of the VP-CEI. (https://nccm.ca/greensquarecampaign/)
QUMIN will be gathering for a virtual commemoration of this day on Zoom. Join us on Thursday, January 29 from 12-1 pm. Register for the link at: https://queensu.zoom.us/meeting/register/66jZo_8QQcONttXy8oBt7w#/registration
See you online, Insha Allah.
We are a diverse group of Muslim faculty and staff, inclusive of Teaching Assistants and Student employees, of all at Queen's seeking to establish a network of fellow community members who feel inspired by, or a sense of belonging to the faith of Islam. First and foremost, it is a safe space for those who identify as Muslim on campus to support one another through building and strengthening of connections within the community.
