On March 27th, 2026, our CEC-REN outreach team had the privilege of spending a day with three incredible groups at La Salle Intermediate and Secondary School.
We visited approximately 60 intermediate students to explore water science and environmental contamination. After a presentation on how contaminants enter our water systems, students got hands-on with a filtration experiment. Watching "contaminated" water gradually clear up (or not clear up!) sparked some fantastic questions and conversations about real world environmental challenges.
The curiosity and enthusiasm from each class was truly inspiring. A heartfelt thank you to Prama Roy, Rhiannon Punch, Meghan Boyd, and the dedicated teachers and staff at La Salle for making this visit possible. We're grateful for the partnership and excited for our next outreach opportunity!
